PERSONAL IDENTITY

I am an artistic and perfectionistic person and designer. I have always loved making art and want to use this passion and these skills in my designs. I'm always looking for new things and ways to convey things, that I personally care about or important messages, through my art. I have a rich imagination and always come up with new ideas for art and also things to design. A skill that can be very beneficial as a designer, but can also be my pitfall since I often start another project halfway through a project.

Not only in my work, but also in my schooling and how I present myself to others, I've always been a perfectionist. I am a very independent person who prefers to work alone and concentrate, therefore if I have to present something or collaborate with others, I want to give it my all. My independence has taken me a long way, but I feel that learning to work in a group will take me much further, and this is something I want to learn. I also enjoy learning new things, not just because it is important to me as a designer, but also because when I do something, I want to do it properly. I want my designs to be as flawless as possible, as well as aesthetically elegant and appealing. When I make something I also want it to be of professional quality.

Nature, in all of its colors and shapes, is a huge source of inspiration for me, which is why I am so committed to sustainability. I realize that due to climate change much of this nature, in which I also find my peace, is being lost. That is why, as a designer, I want to contribute to the preservation of environment and the fight against climate change.

The things I'm already good at, Art, Programming, Graphic Design, 3D Modeling, Idea Development, have shaped me into the person I am today. But I also think it's important to develop myself. I would like to learn how to work and communicate better in a group, but also to improve including the users in my design process, so that I can take myself and my designs to an even higher level.

In summary, I am an artist that strives for the highest quality and wishes to contribute to the preservation of our world.

VISION

As a designer, I want to contribute to the preservation of our planet in an artistic way by developing sustainable interactive systems and products. Nature fascinates me as an artist. It inspires me and is necessary for our existence as humanity. Through my designs, I hope to inspire others to help preserve our planet by demonstrating how essential nature is and how beautiful it can be, so that we can also show our children the beauty of our earth.

I already incorporate messages about climate change in my artworks, and I want to do the same in my design projects. I believe that as a designer, you can have a significant impact since you can not only include sustainable techniques and materials into your designs, but you can also demonstrate the importance of a sustainable and green future in an artistic way, perhaps even without the user realizing it.

Personally, I am inspired by projects like Boyan Slat's Ocean Clean-up project, the Solar Team of Eindhoven University of Technology and Lightyear. Because these projects demonstrate how you, as a student and designer, can make a significant impact on the world and contribute to a sustainable and green planet. The old masters such as Rembrandt and van Gogh are also great sources of inspiration, especially for my artistic vision, because they demonstrate that something beautiful can also convey an important message. Something I would want to accomplish as well with my designs.

My designs will not only be visually appealing, but will also inspire people to do something positive for our environment and take us a step closer to a sustainable planet.
